VantageFront Volunteer Opportunities

With the advent of the new year, we plan to expand our current selection of classes and programs. As our current group of programs offered extensively focus on coding and design, we plan to offer new classes in the realm of robotics and hardware.

VantageFront is seeking volunteers to teach virtual robotics classes. As a volunteer teacher, you will earn service hours while developing critical communication, teaching, and leadership skills, all of which will assist you in varying areas of interest. These class sessions will run for eight weeks, and have a time commitment of three hours per week. Your experience and expertise will prove incredibly valuable in making a difference, one class at a time!

Requirements

Volunteers must be in 9th grade in high school or above

Volunteers must have mastery of any of the platforms used for any of VantageFront's curricula such as Scratch or CAD

Volunteers must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

We are also commencing our annual fundraiser, where we donate EV3 robots (shown below!) to encourage the spirit of building and technology. VantageFront's fundraisers are critical for the creation and facilitation of our programs as we get all of our revenue from donors. The shared passion for our mission allows us to continue and further our ideas and mission statements. We infinitely appreciate those who find value in the mission and work that we put forward and choose to support VantageFront with their time, energy, and finances. Beyond the purely fiscal motivations for fundraising is the impact that our donors have on our cause. Any focused expenditure of our donors' focus, time, and efforts for advocacy allows for us to build a community, a chorus of voices made brighter by your efforts, so thank you! We are looking for volunteers with experience in fundraising to aid with our initiative.

Requirements

Volunteers should have experience contacting vendors and partners for coordination.

Volunteers must have strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with our Volunteer Coordinator to mobilize needed volunteers.

Volunteers must be able to manage current and future fundraising database and lessons learned.

Volunteers must be able to work with staff, volunteers, and vendors to solidify the execution of an event.
